GET SET TRAVEL TO TOKYO

My role: Head of Creative

Get Set is the official youth engagement platform of Team GB and ParalympicsGB. ‘Travel to Tokyo’ is one of the Get Set programmes which encouraged young people and their families to get more active, more often around the 2021 Olympics.

All activities and campaign narrative of this programme were structured around the idea of travelling virtually between London and Tokyo. My team created the programme identity, website, learning resources and cross-channel campaign materials. The aim was to motivate families from lower socio-economic groups to have fun while getting active in and around their homes. Campaign style and tone of voice evolved during Covid in reflection of the time.

Results

Over 800,000 children and 1.2m family members took part, building excitement about the Games around and during Covid

23,123 downloads of resources and materials via the website
74% of participants said they intend to take part in more physical activity in future
